Michal Staninec, DDS, PhD
Dr. Staninec received a BA in biochemistry from UC Berkeley in 1974,
his DDS from UCSF in 1980, then spent one year in Japan as a researcher in
dental materials and operative dentistry. Since 1982 he has been a teaching
restorative dentistry at UCSF on a half time basis, while maintaining a private
practice in San Francisco. He is currently Clinical Professor in the Department
of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences. In 1999 he received his PhD
in Medical Sciences with a thesis in restorative dentistry from the University
of Nijmegen in Holland. He has authored and co-authored 50 articles in peer-reviewed
journals and lectured on restorative dentistry in the US, Japan and Europe.
His research interests include dental adhesion, conservative restorative techniques,
clinical testing of adhesive techniques, secondary caries, laser interactions
with dental hard tissues, and effects of fatigue on dentin. He is a Fellow
of the Academy of Dental Materials, Academy of Dentistry International, and
past president of the Dental Materials Group Chapter of the American Association
for Dental Research. |

Haydee Mojica Campos, DDS
Dr. Mojica was born and raised in the Philippines but San
Francisco has been her home since she moved here with
her family in 1988. She was
working on her degree in Microbiology when she got accepted to dental school. She
obtained her D.D.S. from the University of California, San
Francisco in 1997 and joined the practice in 1999.She is
fluent in Tagalog. |

Patricia (Trish) Mayer RDH
Received a degree in Dental Hygiene in Education from Ohio State University
in 1970. Completed courses in Nitrous Oxide Sedation, Root Planing
and Curettage and Local Anesthesia from University of the Pacific in 1980. Practiced
dental hygiene in Cleveland ,Ohio and St. Thomas, V.I. before
coming to San Francisco and working with Art Werner
D.D.S. for 28 years. She is a member of the National Dental Hygiene Association, and
the Redwood component of the California Dental Hygiene Association. |

Ryan Ellis, DDS
Dr. Ellis received his DDS from University of the Pacific in 2005. He is currently
a resident in the Postgraduate Periodontics program at UCSF. He works in the
practice on alternate Saturdays doing hygiene, conservative periodontal treatment
and examinations. |

Terry Im, DDS
Dr. Im received his DDS from UCSF in 2006. He is currently a resident in the
Postgraduate Periodontics program at UCSF. He works in the practice on alternate
Saturdays doing hygiene, conservative periodontal treatment and examinations. |

Barbara
Barbara has been in this office since 1989. For 15
years she was working with Dr.Werner, and for the past
4 years has been the front desk receptionist for the combined
practice. Handling scheduling,
insurance and accounts, Barbara works Mondays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays. |

Anne Nicole
Anne Nicole joined the practice in 2005. She works mostly at the front desk doing
scheduling, insurance and accounts, but she also occasionally helps out by
assisting in the clinical area. She speaks conversational Spanish. |

Nora Ye
Nora is the clinical assistant who also takes care of instruments, sterilization,
supplies, and some clinical and laboratory procedures. She is a native of Guangzhou,
China, and speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and Tayshenese. |
